Before arrival, we will send you instructions for online check-in via email. At the Neuchâtel City Hotel, you encode your room card at our check-in kiosk—no reception, no waiting. From arrival to your room takes about three minutes. No concierge, no paperwork—intentionally.
Check-in is possible around the clock — 365 days a year, even at night, on holidays, at Christmas. No extra charge for late arrival. The room is guaranteed for you from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival; earlier if available. Requirement: Your room is booked and the check-in code sent.
Check-out until 11:00 AM. Deposit room card at the kiosk and leave — no queue, no form. Late check-out is available on request if your room is not immediately reoccupied.
Call our guest service — available 24/7 for emergency cases. We will resend the information to you via SMS or email and remotely open the system. In the room itself, you will also find an emergency info card with the direct number.
Honest answer: no — consciously not. We are a self-check-in concept, not a classic hotel. If you expect concierge, room service, restaurant, or breakfast in the house, you are at the wrong place. What you get instead: 24h self-check-in via kiosk, telephone guest service 365 days a year, 101 rooms in five categories (from single room to multi-bed room), directly at Neuchâtel station (2-minute walk), at Lake Neuchâtel and in the historic old town — and a fair price because personnel costs are not in the room rate.
